“Even though we are pleased about having many attractive projects on our domestic market, including the technical support of Austria’s largest rooftop installation with 3,4 MW, the business in other European countries is our main growth driver”, note Dr. Robin Hirschl and Burkhard Söhngen, managing directors at ENcome Energy Performance GmbH. Currently the strongest markets for service business are Germany and Italy as these countries have the largest existing portfolio; as well as Great Britain which is the European country with the largest constructions of large PV power plants at the moment. In all these countries, as well as in Spain, France and Bulgaria, ENcome Energy Performance operates subsidiaries or branches. “Due to our positioning we are able to perfectly combine the efficient use of scale effects in the field of remote monitoring of PV plants from our control centre in Klagenfurt with a short response time and a high service quality, thanks to flexible on-site teams”, explain the managers.
The Carinthian export price is awarded yearly in four categories: small- medium-, and large-sized companies as well as exporters of services and takes place during the course of the Export Day organised by the Carinthian Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with the Raiffeisen Landesbank Kärnten. As every year, there were numerous competitors, therefore the award counts even more. “Even though it isn’t always easy to break into new markets, our success finally shows that we are on the right track and this motivates us to take further steps”, proudly says Dr. Robin Hirschl, who had the honor to receive the award for ENcome.
The next steps are already planned. The service market of PV plants is becoming more and more international, because the construction of PV plants in Europe has declined sharply in recent years, while new markets in Asia, America and Africa are growing strongly. Therefore, Encome searched and found a partner in Japan and first projects have already been realized. But also more “exotic” countries are increasingly becoming a focus for ENcome. In the past few weeks the company has been exploring large projects in Africa and South Asia.
