Every working day more than 60 ENcome field engineers and technicians set foot on the many PV sites entrusted by our clients around the world. While their main objective is to continuously maximize the electricity production of these sites and to preserve their long-term value, this is performed under the necessary condition that there are no environmental, health and safety hazards for these engineers, visitors or the plant itself.
Zero-tolerance policy to HSE incidents
Ensuring the health and safety of our employees is a priority at ENcome and is considered in every decision we make and every action we take. All our work revolves around HSE and we comply to the most stringent standards during all phases of our service work; from the building permit to design and construction phase, up to the operational phase through to the end of operations or repowering of a PV plant.
ENcome is ISO-certified since 2014, and again passed the audits according to the standards ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 in 2020, successfully fulfilling all requirements. At ENcome, the ISO 45001-Occupational health and safety management system provides a framework to guide the organization to improve employee safety, reduce workplace risks and create better, safer working conditions, all over the ENcome world.
Global and Local safety management
In applying a high-level standard approach to HSE topics across ENcome Group this also includes observance of individual local regulatory requirements. All ENcome entities concurrently contribute to Group HSE policies while taking responsibility also for specific local HSE aspects. In Australia, for instance, a dedicated HSE specialist is in charge of identifying and controlling risks in collaboration with stakeholders, providing training to ensure a high level of competence and consulting with clients on HSE matters. A risk-based management approach reduces or eliminates the potential for harm or damage on PV sites such as electrical hazards, fire prevention and poor manual handling practices.
A similar approach is taken in all countries ENcome is active in, i. a. UK, Germany, France, Italy, and the typical ENcome corporate culture facilitates close collaboration and best practice exchanges among those team members with an over-riding HSE responsibility.
