Before the end of the year, assets under management will increase to approx. 1.5 gigawatt (nominal capacity), alone in 2019 a volume of well over 300 MWp was added. The average growth in assets under management in the last five fiscal years is around 50% p.a. Hence, ENcome has recorded strong growth in every financial year since its foundation.
In 2019, this was mainly due to:
- The conclusion of O&M contracts for four pv power plants (total approx. 240 MWp) in Australia,
- The acquisition of O&M contracts for a pv portfolio of 70 MWp in Italy,
- The acquisition of a strategic key account in France,
- The conclusion of a large-scale engineering consultancy agreement for new construction projects in Australia.
"We are pleased about the positive development in all our units, especially about the extended cooperation with our existing customers, says Dr. Andreas Leimbach, Managing Director of the ENcome Group and continues: "… equally we are also pleased that new customers are finding their way to us and entrusting us with their pv power plants”. In Australia alone, the ENcome Group estimate its current market share at around 25%
For the future, the ENcome Group expects further growth impulses in the unabated increase in the number of pv power plants installed worldwide (Solar Power Europe typo3/expects an increase of 144 gigawatts in 2020 alone) in the increasing average age of installed pv systems and in the battery storage sector.
"Especially in the mature markets such as Germany and Italy, i.e. markets with average older pv power plants, the ENcome Group has already carried out repair projects and repowering measures for many customers in order to maintain plant availability and production at a high level or to restore such a high level "says Leimbach. "ENcome clearly benefits from the combination of O&M and Engineering & Advisory expertise".
Against the background of the increased business volume and with regards to the high-quality standards of the ENcome Group, the number of employees in almost all countries, i.e. in Germany, Italy, France, Great Britain and Australia, has increased further and now total 120 people. As a result, the subsidiaries in Italy and Great Britain moved into expanded and even more functional premises. In addition, the ENcome Group has consciously decided to offer its customers more non-technical services - such as greenkeeping - as part of its Operation & Maintenance in order to be able to deliver value-creating and cost-optimized package solutions from a single source.
