ENcome participates in research of potential-induced degradation (PID)

Klagenfurt am Wörthersee (17.12.2014): Potential-induced degradation (PID) is becoming a progressively virulent problem for the photovoltaics industry. It is a burden for module producers due to increasing PID-related warranty claims, but also for power plant owners due to the high level of insolvencies and strategic realignments of many manufacturers, leaving their claims uncovered. By using economies of scale and complexity reduction also operative costs (“OpEx”) throughout the plant operation can be optimized. Further challenges result from the integrity of interfaces, for example direct marketing.
