After the successful market entry in France in 2014 and doubling business volume by the merger with KBE in 2018, the recent acquisition confirms the long-term interest and commitment of ENcome in the areas of Operations & Maintenance ("O&M") and Engineering & Advisory ("E&A") services for PV plants in France and beyond. A long-term O&M portfolio of approx. 100 MWp and several additional framework contracts for “on-call” maintenance work in France alone make ENcome a leading O&M provider. Furthermore, ENcome France offers E&A structural repair and optimization of existing PV plants ("retrofit"). In 2019 alone, more than 12 large-scale retrofit projects were realized, and a significant part of those PV plants found their way into the long-term O&M portfolio.
“France is one of our core markets. We made this additional investment very consciously and even amidst the current COVID 19 restrictions. In future, the already strong team in ENcome France will even more benefit from the professional processes of the ENcome Group. This further strengthens the ties to our French and international clients in France. It offers them even greater added value by increased service quality and, hence higher availability and performance ratios of the PV plants entrusted to us. We thank our previous joint venture partner who has supported the growth and success of our French business activities over the past two years" explains Andreas Leimbach, Managing Director of the ENcome Group.
Further details of the acquisition remain confidential. The transaction is effective immediately.
The transaction and the share capital increase were arranged by SolarKapital, a private equity company specializing in the solar sector, irrespective of current COVID 19 restrictions. SolarKapital also represents the majority shareholder of the ENcome Group.
The ENcome group is an independent provider for the operation of PV plants. It solely focuses on technical Operation and Maintenance (“O&M”) and Engineering & Advisory (“E&A”) services. Its leading market position is reflected by an overall O&M portfolio under management of approx.
1.5 gigawatt. ENcome maintains operations in all major European markets, Taiwan and Australia.
